Plumbing Services

Our team handles water heater installation, repairs, and maintenance for houses across Greater Vancouver.

Here are some common problems that water heaters have:

  • Drop in water temperature
  • Leaking around the base of the tank
  • Water heater is getting rusty and looking old
  • Pilot light goes out and the igniter doesn't work
  • Thermocouple wears out
  • Sensor covered in rust and not picking up the temperature in the tank
  • Bottom of the tank is covered in rust and doesn't heat up properly

Normally water heaters will start leaking after 8-10 years. Most water heaters have a warranty for 6 or 8 years. You can find the serial number on your water heater and call the manufacturer to see if it's under warranty. If it is under warranty, you will only pay for the cost to install the new water heater and a processing free (the manufacturer will give you a credit).

We recommend that you have your water heater maintained annually. This will increase the lifespan of your water heater and keep it working at its highest energy efficiency level, saving you money. To maintain the water heater, we will inspect, tune-up, and clear the water heater to minimize leaks, rust, and excess sediment from building up.
